° Professor Danielle Allen receives honorary degree from Lake Forest College.

° Professor Eric Maskin elected to National Academy of Sciences.

° Professor Joan W. Scott elected to American Academy of Arts and Sciences

° Former Member Charles Tilly awarded 2008 A. O. Hirschman Prize.

The Luncheon Seminar meets each week on Thursdays from 12 Noon-2:00 p.m. We assemble at Noon in the Dilworth Room after going through the lunch line. The presentation begins at 12:30 p.m., with the discussion ending promptly at 2:00 p.m. Attendees, as in the past, include the Faculty, Members, Visitors and Research Assistants of the School of Social Science, those Members of the School of Historical Studies with related interests, and colleagues from the wider academic community.
